Post 100!

I finally made it to post 100 and it was almost video of the turkeys, but even I have tired of them, so I have something better to post about. We (and by "we" I mean Dad and Lenny) finally planted some trees in our front yard! And pretty trees they are too. Forest Pansy, I think they are called. I didn't get the greatest pics, but here are a few. The idea is that as they grow they will provide some shade for the 2 bay windows that just bake in the afternoon sun.

Aren't the leaves pretty? They also get flowers in the spring.

A before and after shot...

And one pic with a turkey. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

  1. Ha! Ha! Gobble, gobble! They must feel their space is invaded. Pretty trees. Good idea. I like the color next to the house color. The trees can mark Elena's growth also. Nice.

  2. Just a few years ago my grandmother had to take down the apple tree she and Granddad planted the year my dad was born. So Aunt Linda was right...it will make a significant marker as to Elena's growth.

Congrats on the 100th post...and it just wouldn't be the same without the turkey.

  4. Congratulations on your 100th post. The trees look great! The trees in our neighborhood are slowing getting bigger and it's been 6 yrs.

  5. 6 years! Yikes! We probably won't even be living in this house by then. Oh well.
