Pandora's Box

A while ago Lenny started listening to music at Pandora.com. For those of you who haven't used it, it is a pretty fun site where you can put in an artist or song you like and then it will play other music based on that artist/song, and it's free! We put it on during dinner sometimes when we just want some "dinner music." One night he put in "Jude" and there was some good stuff that came up. I really liked this one song by a group called Dispatch so I looked them up at iTunes and got their album. Right then I thought, this is going to be the most expensive free site ever, but I haven't bought anything else... yet.

So back to Dispatch. The album is from the mid-90s, I think, and I think they sound very Rustic Overtones-ish with some Jack Johnson thrown in. Just fun, around the bonfire, summer music.

Last night I was trying to work up the energy to wash my hair so I didn't have to get up early this morning and do it before work, so I told Lenny I needed some happy, upbeat music. He put on his salsa station on Pandora, which is very happy and makes you want to move, but I decided I needed something I could sing along to because I love to sing in the shower. So I asked him to put on Dispatch and he went on songza.com and found the tracks and played them. One song in particular I thought was a very funny coincidence because of my recent post about a certain uninvited guest. Here's a link to it: http://songza.com/~ga99ti

  1. Very, very funny. And good for singing/dancing in the shower.
