1) The ongoing adventures of the turkeys - The group as a whole seems to have moved on for the time being, in search of other single turkeys I suppose, but the other morning I caught one turkey who has obviously fallen for the goat. I will definitely let you know if there are any gurkeys in their future.
2) Lenny cooking his signature dinner - chicken marinated in his special recipe, yellow rice (as only a Latino cook can make it), and avocado. My favorite part of this particular evening was that Lenny saw me taking a picture right near the end of the actual cooking part so then when he went to plate the food, he made the avocado all fancy and fanned out.
If you ever have dinner at my house, there is a very good chance that this is what you will have.
3) When I got home from work on Friday and climbed the back stairs to the back door, what was waiting for me there but a box containing a very cool photo taken by my friend Kristen. I brought it inside and immediately unpacked it and brought it up to my "reading nook." I have since added a chair, rather important for the reading aspect. That's as far as I've gotten. More photos will be forthcoming as it develops.
Lenny's dinner looks great and your new photo looks pretty good, too. I can't wait to see the photos with chair in place as well.

ReplyDeleteI forgot to say I usually make black beans (from the Goya recipe on the can) to go with this dinner, but I haven't made them in a while.
