It is in a great downtown location, right next to the arcade. And here's Mom in action at the fudge counter...
Making a cappucino...
And scooping ice cream. Her previous job experience at Friendly's in the 70's comes in handy.
So with our hot fudge sundae and cappucino in hand, we walked back to our car, past the harbor. There is a small parking lot right next to the store, but I told Lenny if we get ice cream we have to get some exercise, and it is wicked good ice cream (I can say "wicked good" now because I'm officially a Rhode Islander).
I was surprised how many boats are already there, most of them still covered. Notice the name on the boat in the bottom left of the picture. I thought it a rather odd name for a boat.
First, your mom is very photogenic.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I couldn't read the name on the boat.
You have to click on the picture of the boats and wait for it to get big and then you can see it. If you really want to know.
ReplyDeletereminds me of my days at "enjou" what fun job! Also, I'm pretty sure it's us Mainers who came up with the term "wicked" :)
ReplyDeleteI actually think of wicked as a Mass. thing, but I guess it belongs to all of New England.
ReplyDeleteYour mom is too cute. I definitely thought of Jadian's job at Enjou when you first mentioned your mom's new job.
ReplyDeleteI did click on the picture to make it big, but I still can't read it. Would you just tell me, please?
ReplyDeleteyou mean the boat called, "miss conduct"? i agree, it's strange. not what i would call my boat.
ReplyDeleteyour mom is so cute. now i really want ice cream!!!
