Last Sunday Lenny and I went over to the Wildlife Sanctuary next to Second Beach (a few minutes drive from our house), a great hidden Newport attraction. Free parking, beautiful views, never crowded. I, of course, brought my camera, and was once again amazed by the abilities of our eyes versus a camera. For example, we came across a few bunnies on our walk and as I went to take a picture of one, I'm looking through the camera, saying, Where's the bunny?

He's there. He was just hiding.

When I really noticed a difference is when I was taking the more landscape type photos. Our eyes make objects in the distance much larger than they appear. This first shot is a picture of Third Beach, with I believe, the tower of St. George's School in the distance. I still like the picture because of the rays of sunshine.

I took several pictures trying to get this white lighthouse in the distance. Believe it or not, it is actually in the picture below, but you'd never know it.

This last photo is back by the parking area. Again, not the same as being there and seeing it with your own eyes, but I was and am, quite taken with the clouds that day.

We did the shortest loop because we are out of shape, but hope to make this a weekly routine so there will no doubt be more photos to come.
I think your photos are beautiful...especially the bunny!
